Amy and I exchanged gifts tonight since she was in town. She gave me three packages and had me open them in a particular order. The first two were books on Andy Warhol, I had been looking for books on him recently. One is a small sort of biography, the other is big and heavy and has 365 pieces of his artwork! Awesomeness. The final gift lay within 61 layers of paper and a CD case…

beneath them all was…

I feel a little bad though, cause I know she spent way more on me than I did on her. I got her the soundtrack to Marie-Antoinette, and avocado slicer she’d been eying, and a couple avocados. My mom says I shouldn’t feel bad because she does make more than I do and it’s the thought that counts; she also said I could just pay for her dinner some time. Plus she does know that I just had to pay a lot to have my car fixed. I don’t know, maybe I’ll still buy her the camera case like I’m getting.
I’m still learning my new camera, I like how the paper shot turned out. Ugh, this is the latest I’ve stayed up in a while, but I’m not tired. I’m watching A Scanner Darkly, I should be in bed though.
