I get these cramps sometimes in my feet or legs when I lay down to rest or sleep and sometimes when I get up. I also get random cramps in my hands throughout the day (not every day). This has been happening for a few months. So, I Google it, find out they’re referred to as nocturnal cramps.
What deficiencies can cause these cramps? B-12 or potassium. My multi-vitamin has B-12 but no potassium.
Research potassium and what foods are high in it. Get a website that also lists medications that can affect potassium levels – Prednisone increases the release of potassium in the urine.
Why hasn’t my doctor checked my potassium? I’ve had blood work done 3 times since I started Prednisone the first time, they never ordered a check of my potassium.

Much bigger room with a full size bed.
Only one roommate.
My own bathroom with a tub, not just a tiny shower stall. I’ve never had a bathroom all to myself.
Ceiling fans.
We haven’t used the A/C or heat at all since I’ve been here.
Windows that open.
I’m on the top floor, which is also the second floor.
No elevators, I hate elevators.
My own secure wireless network (no special login for the internet so FON works).
Having more friends close by. Amy is less than 10 minutes away, that’s closer than when we both lived in Panama City.
Quiet.
A lot of walking – campus is huge, I need the exercise.
Parking is a beast – this is a pro because it’s my only complaint and if that’s so than I’m doing pretty good. Plus I think it’s getting better or maybe I was getting there too early.
I like being an English Lit major.
I had to choose a minor and had a hard time choosing but went with history. I’m currently taking 20th Century Russia and finding it very interesting.
Beautiful.
Winter exists!

I took a wrong turn today on my way back home (after signing a lease in Tally!). I knew the road I was on would still take me where I needed to go so I didn’t turn around and I was glad. Traveling down this road was so serene and beautiful; it was through one of those few hilly areas of Florida that make you forget you’re in Florida as the road goes up and down and all you can see is trees. It was also at that perfect time of day where the winter sun is in just the right place to give everything an amber glow. On one part of the road where there’s a small bridge over a creek there was a group of people off to the side of the bridge around a bonfire that appeared to be roasting marshmallows; very peaceful.
Many people would be annoyed that they took a wrong turn and let it ruin their whole day through their attitude. Months ago I may have been the same way, but it’s so much easier to not let things like that be a big deal. This turned out to be a good thing. I was being annoyed by a car on the interstate who kept going faster, slower, faster, slower (cruise control is there for a reason, use it!) which is how I ended up distracted and took an exit that looked similar to mine, but was one too early. Because I didn’t let taking a wrong turn upset me it ended up being a fortunate accident. Not only did I get away from a bad driver, I also go to see another beautiful part of God’s creation.

I just couldn’t get interesting in this book. I read up to page 60-something and still felt it was going nowhere, just a bunch of flashback-like storytelling that didn’t seem to connect with each other in any way except that they were all part of the narrator’s life. I also didn’t care much for the narrator’s character himself nor his style of storytelling.
